Send to Friend Visit Website Ruffner Mountain Nature Center 1214 81st Street South Birmingham  AL  35206 work home205-833-8264 The new Ruffner Mountain Nature Center is open and it's beautiful.  This is a wonderful place to hike and enjoy a picnic near the city.  It also provides a glimpse into Birmingham's history and knowledge of native plants and animals.  We enjoyed a wonderful field trip for 6 yr olds and a great 1/2 mile geological hike.  They have many events that are included on the BirminghamMom.com family events calendar. Send to Friend Visit Website Vestavia Hills Soccer Club 1973 Merryvale Road Vestavia  AL  35216 work home205-978-0182 Formed in1977, the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club now makes the sport of soccer available to over 1800 children a year.  Competitive and recreational programs are offered in both the spring and fall.  The recreational program serves boys and girls aged 5 to 19.  Competitive teams are formed at age groups U-11 through U-19 with a minimum of one or more competitive teams per age group.  VHSC also offers several skills-specific camps and half day summer camps.  Add to Address Book
