Moss Rock is a Must-Do Family Festival

You must get out to The Preserve this weekend to enjoy the Moss Rock Festival.

The trees will be at their peak and the lawn at The Preserve, a Hoover community, will be buzzing with activities like acoustic performances, interactive exhibits, and food vendors. Artists will line the streets with booths to showcase their work, and green-conscious displays will guide you through ideas for home energy conservation and recycled products. It’s a sort of country-meets-urban-chic vibe where you leave determined do a better job to conserve natural resources, not because you’ve been scared into  it, but because it just makes sense as a steward of the earth.

If you don’t do anything but recline on the lawn and listen to music, you’ll be plenty content. However, since you’re this close you may as well wander down the trail to an outcropping of boulders that stand silent witness to another season in the mountains. Return to civilization – i.e., the lawn at the Preserve – and check out the artists’ work that is just as mesmerizing.

Park at Regions Field and buses will shuttle you to the Preserve.  The event is free but bring money for food or eat ahead of time. Most artists accept credit and debit card payments.
