If you or someone you know is looking for work (or even a better opportunity), consider attending the Career Skills Workshop at the Hoover Public Library on Tuesday, December 7, from 9:30 a.m. until noon. Ruth Beaumont Cook and Yours Truly (Tina) will be presenting separate programs on resume writing and interviewing.
Although I struggle to juggle as a mom, I speak with some authority on the topic of interviewing, as I have many years of experience in corporate recruiting. While I’ve never mentioned this experience previously on BirminghamMom, these times demand information for job seekers. The Career Skills Workshop is open to the public and after Ms. Cook shares her resume suggestions, I’ll present on Interviewing Skills for Any Economy.
The workshop is free but reservations are requested at 444-7816.
Most job search advice can apply to anyone, but I will address the needs of moms in particular in future posts.
