This gets our “absolutely Birmingham” award as the summer is incomplete without catching a Saturday matinee at the Alabama Theatre.   Truly, there is no comparison between the Alabama and any other movie theatre in the region.  Your kids will adore this experience and you will also.   This is a 2pm show so eat lunch downtown at Urban Standard, Rogue Tavern (try the Biggest Burger in town), Gus’ Hot dogs or the Fish Market.
